In this post, i will give you the best paid web directories and i will give you the tips about choosing a right title and description to submit.

What are the advantages of web directories?

If you are submitting your website to a quality, high pageranked and well organized web directory, you can expect a PR increase of your websites. Actually, i had a PR increase from PR2 to PR4 after i included my website to Yahoo! Directory.

You can also expect better search results from the search engines. High PR is one of the criterias for Google to place websites to top of search results.

And another advantage is driving some traffic to your website. It is not a high value of traffic. So, if you are thinking to increase your traffic, i can say that paying to the directories may not give you the traffic as much as you expect.

Yahoo! Directory
As most of you know, one of the best paid web directories and maybe the most expensive one is Yahoo! Directory. Google is considering Yahoo! Directory on the search results too much. It is a very successful general directory that has been online since 1998. Annual fee is $299. Google PR 7.

BOTW (Best of the Web)
It is one of the oldest directories of the web. It is well categorized and it has high PR. Annually recurring charge $149.95, one-time only charge $299.95.

HotVSNot
It is a PR6 directory. 6 months – $42, 12 months – $60, 3 years – $108, Permanent (one-time fee) – $200 You can also submit your site for free if you provide a reciprocal backlink from your site.

JoeAnt
It was originally launched in the spring of 2001. They have a fair amount of authority links and have been around over 5 years. It’s PR 6. Guaranteed review within the next two business days (One Time Fee – $39.99).

Paid directories can be very valuable, so long as you make your submissions in a right way and you have a quality website with unique and useful content.
